The Allori B. Pehrson Scholarship was established in 2021 to honor Allori B. Pehrson who passed away during her sophomore year. This scholarship honors students who do great work but never seek the recognition for their work and efforts that benefit the school and community. Students are nominated by EBA staff members to receive this scholarship and Allori's parents Wayne & Trisha Pehrson select the recipient. The recipient of this scholarship receives $1,000 towards college funding and this scholarship is funded by the FoEBA.
Presidential Volunteer Service Awards Program
The Friends of the EBA sponsors the Presidential Volunteer Service Awards program each year. Every student has the opportunity to earn a bronze, silver, or gold pin from the President acknowledging their commitment to community service (see the chart below). Read more about the program here. Reminder: Awards will ordered based on the totals that are submitted by students by the October 31st deadline for community service hours. 9th grade student hours are counted from June 18, 2022 - October 31, 2022. The awards celebration will be in December/January following.
EBA Senior Celebration
The Friends of the EBA funds the EBA Senior Celebration that occurs after the EBA Senior Ceremony at school. This event has been held at Woodstock Park and includes activities for the EBA seniors to participate in as they culminate and wrap up their EBA experience. The Friends of the EBA provide the lunch for students (it has been Chick-fil-a), senior student shirts, EBA medallion boxes for all students, snacks and water at the event, and a special gift for all seniors. Get involved so that when your student is a senior they can also have this experience!
